Incubator Steering Committee
The Incubator Steering Committee was established to provide the overall vision and direction for the processes and actions of the Partnerships. Encompassing perspectives of public health practice and research on many levels, this group includes:
- North Carolina Division of Public Health (NC-DPH) Representative
- North Carolina Association of Local Health Directors (NCALHD) President
- North Carolina Public Health Association (NCPHA) Director
- North Carolina Institute for Public Health (NCIPH) Representatives
- Two representatives from each of the six partnerships
NC
Institute for Public Health
The NCIPH provides administrative oversight and support of the NC PHICs program and all partnerships through:
- Provide public relations materials and support to health directors and public health association leadership
- Provide logistical support for selected conferences and legislative meetings
- Support sustained Incubator collaboration with evaluations, training, strategic planning and team-building activities
- Provide transitional support for Partnership changes in leadership
- Provide administrative services including the development of proposal materials for Incubator initiatives, coordination of agendas and facilitation of planning sessions, overseeing financial and operational status reporting
- Provide selected trainings based on identified needs
- Provide project management/implementation of selected incubator projects
- Coordinate and staff Incubator Steering Committee, Project Selection and Advocacy Subcommittees
- Oversee the Incubator evaluation process on micro and macro levels
Partners
NC Division of Public Health
Through their role as a key partner
in Incubators oversight, the Division of Public Health (DPH) serves
and supports regional and programmatic efforts through reviewing plans
and progress, as well as consulting with each regional group on project
activities and providing guidance through participation in regional
governing boards. Staff members from the Division assist with the development
of ideas by providing key perspectives, insight and guidance while
assuring that projects are aligned with current and future efforts
at the state level. In addition to their work with regional groups,
the DPH has a representative on both the Incubator Steering Committee
and Project Selection Committee.
