Presenting: "Land of Opportunity: Working for a Healthier and Safer North Carolina"
Documentary & Facilitated Discussion Addressing Social Justice Available to Health Departments
The Northwest Partnership for Public Health and This Machine Productions invite you to look into the lives of four families who struggle to make ends meet. These North Carolina residents are equal in the sense that they are all American citizens. In some instances, though, this is where the equality stops. This documentary seeks to touch three key messages:
- health disparities exist across cultural economic groups,
- equal access to health promotion and disease prevention should be available to everyone, and
- responsibility for reducing health disparities belongs to everyone.
Provided free of charge with this video is a complementary training / facilitated discussion booklet. This video is available to all interested health departments. Please contact Candice DuVernois, NW Partnership Coordinator, at candiced@apphealth.com for more information.
